Scrolls & Enchanting
A Scroll is “an item that adds passive effects to a weapon or fishing rod”.
Go to the Dragon Talon Sage and spend one Scroll to get a random Enchant. He's always at Tiki Outpost in the Third Sea, and may also briefly appear at random in the First and Second Sea. Higher-tier Scrolls can also roll Unique enchants, Blessings or Curses.
📚 1. Scroll Types & Tiers
Scrolls come in four rarities. The rarer the Scroll, the higher the Enchant level it can give, and the more likely it is to roll a strong Blessing.
Name note: There's currently no “Uncommon Scroll”; the normal progression is Common → Rare → Legendary → Mythical.
| Scroll Type | Rarity | Details & Tips |
|---|---|---|
| Common Scroll |
Common |
Entry level. Gives 3 Enchant levels. Good for unlocking higher-tier Scrolls, or for giving the weapons you use most some basic effects first. |
| Rare Scroll |
Rare |
Mid tier. Gives 5 Enchant levels, and starts having a chance to roll 1 Unique enchant. |
| Legendary Scroll |
Legendary |
High tier. Gives 7 Enchant levels, with about a 3% chance of a Blessing and an even lower chance of a Curse. You can start rerolling your main weapon from this tier. |
| Mythical Scroll |
Mythical |
Top-tier endgame. Gives 9 Enchant levels, inventory cap 10; about a 10% chance of a Blessing and an even lower chance of a Curse. Best saved for weapons or rods you'll use long-term. |
| Blessed Scroll |
Special Premium |
Admins only (regular players can't get it). Using it gives 9 Enchant levels with a Blessing built in. |
| Cursed Scroll |
Special Premium |
Admins only (regular players can't get it). Using it gives 9 Enchant levels with a Curse built in. |
🧭 2. How Do You Get Scrolls?
Scrolls are mainly obtained by “crafting”, and most of the materials come from sea activities.
Note: The Blessed Scroll and Cursed Scroll are admin-only; regular players can't get them.
| Scroll | Key Material (plus Fool's Gold) | How to Get It |
|---|---|---|
| Common | Shark Tooth | Defeat Sharks at sea. |
| Rare | Electric Wing | Defeat Piranhas at sea. |
| Legendary | Leviathan Scale | Sail out to find and defeat the Leviathan. |
| Mythical | Leviathan Heart + Terror Eyes |
Tow the Leviathan Heart back with a Beast Hunter boat, and defeat the Terrorshark for Terror Eyes. |
Besides crafting, you can also get Scrolls from Sunken Chests you fish up, Dojo and Shipwright quest rewards, or the shop. Scrolls obtained normally can't be traded; only Scrolls bought with Robux are tradable.
✨ 3. Enchantment Effects
Effects are random once you use a Scroll. Here are the ones players want most:
🎣 Fishing Rod Enchantments
- Baitless Catch: “Enchant level × 2%” chance to not use up bait.
- Experience Sharing: shares “Enchant level × 5%” of your fishing EXP with nearby players, and you still get that EXP yourself.
- Fish Scanner: raises your final fishing luck multiplier by “Enchant level × 2%”.
- Resilient Fishing Rod: increases rod durability by “Enchant level × 2%”.
- Tasty Bait: “Enchant level × 2%” bonus chance for fish to bite faster.
🕊️ Blessings – Legendary / Mythical Scrolls
Odds note: The Legendary Scroll has about a 3% Blessing chance; the Mythical Scroll about 10%. Both can also roll a Curse at an even lower chance, with no exact rate published yet.
- Burning: hits set the target on fire for 4 seconds, dealing extra damage totaling about 12.5% of that attack.
- Frozen: hits slow the enemy for 5 seconds, great for catching targets and chaining combos.
- Rot: hitting a fruit user applies Rot for 4 seconds, heavily cutting their normal and passive regeneration; it doesn't affect NPCs or players not using a fruit.
- Storm: hits chain lightning to nearby enemies for about one-sixth of the original attack's damage; it uses up Instinct dodges but doesn't break Instinct outright.
- Blessing of Bait Efficiency: 20% chance to not use up materials when crafting bait.
- Blessing of an Angler’s Treasure: +3 to your daily Sunken Chest limit; regular rods go from 3 to 6. The Treasure Rod alone reaches 6, and with both you get 9.
💀 Curses – Legendary / Mythical Scrolls
Odds note: Both Legendary and Mythical Scrolls have a very low chance of rolling a Curse; the exact rate hasn't been published. The “Cursed Scroll” comes with a Curse built in, but it's admin-only.
They're called Curses, but they're really “super-strong effects with a cost”:
- Curse of the Reaper: your natural health regen is halved; life steal is about 70% against players and 23% against NPCs.
- Curse of the Thief: enemy aggro range about 18 m; EXP and Mastery ×2.5, money ×1.5, but you take +25% damage.
- Curse of the Leviathan: after catching a Levi fish, sailing into Sea Danger Level 6 instantly spawns the Frozen Dimension. The Wiki's Fishing Rods page says you need to be in the same Sea Exploration Group, and its Enchantments page adds that the Spy must already be bribed (Wiki | Fishing Rods, Wiki | Enchantments).
- Curse of the Terrorshark: starts you off with +20% catch progress, but the fish panics faster.
- Curse of the Whale: final fish weight +15%, but it may use up 2 bait at once.
🧪 4. Beginner FAQ (Q&A)
-
Q: How many effects can one weapon have?
It can have several normal effects at once; a weapon can have at most 1 Unique enchant, plus at most 1 Blessing or 1 Curse. A Blessing and a Curse can't exist at the same time. -
Q: Can I undo a bad Enchant?
You can't just “remove” it; you can only overwrite it with a new Scroll and gamble on new stats. Try it out on a weapon you rarely use first. -
Q: Should I Enchant my rod or my weapon first?
If you're short on money and Fragments, it's best to Enchant your rod first (for the bait and chest bonuses); if your focus is PVP or progression, go with your weapon.
