✅ Remember these 3 things—they make a huge difference in leveling speed:
- Always take a quest: most of your EXP comes from quests, so don't just mindlessly kill mobs.
- Keep the level gap small: mobs far below your level give very little EXP; mobs far above can one-shot you, which ends up wasting time.
- Speed is king: playstyles with AoE damage, mob pulling and damage reduction make grinding the most comfortable.
📌 The max level changes with updates, so always go by what the game shows; this page prioritizes keeping the quest route and names consistent.
🌟 2026 Leveling Priorities:
- First Sea: go for fruits like Light and Ice that move fast and clear mobs easily.
- Second Sea: if you can get Buddha, leveling gets a lot more stable; awaken its first move as soon as you can.
- Third Sea: main quests, EXP boosts and a stable stat build matter more than constantly switching fruits. If you want to PVP, switch over once your Mastery is up.
This site consistently uses names like Light, Buddha, Aura (Haki) and Instinct, so you can easily cross-reference trading, value and other guide pages.

🌊 First Sea Leveling Route
Main goal: reach Lv.700 and get ready for the Second Sea.
Follow the main quest line and get used to pulling mobs and positioning.
- No good fruit yet? Fight steadily with a weapon or Fighting Style.
- Save up some Beli—buying key Fighting Styles later will make things much smoother.
If you run into a boss you can handle, take it down, then go back to questing.
- Don't hesitate to server hop—boss EXP is usually really juicy.
- If you keep getting one-shot: put points into Defense and use HP-boosting gear first.
Focus on efficiency: finish quests fast, pull mobs together and wipe them in one go with skills.
- Having Buddha makes it way more comfortable.
- If you have an EXP boost (2x EXP), save it for a stretch when you can play nonstop.

🌊 Second Sea Leveling Route
Main goal: reach Lv.1500 and get ready for the Third Sea.
From the Second Sea on, you'll often run into:
- Fragments: used later for Awakening and many other upgrades.
- Raids: if you want to awaken skills or farm resources, Raids become really important.
- Efficiency matters even more: at this point, mob pulling + AoE clearing makes a huge difference.

Second Sea Regular Quest Route
Split by the level each quest unlocks—these aren't island entry requirements, and you don't have to switch islands the moment you level up. Bosses can be challenged separately.
| Level Range | Location | Quests & Tips |
|---|---|---|
| Lv.700–874 | Kingdom of Rose | Lv.700: Raider Lv.725: Mercenary Lv.775: Swan Pirate Lv.800: Factory Staff Find the quest giver for the right area first; quests from Lv.775 are in Area 2. |
| Lv.875–949 | Green Zone | Lv.875: Marine Lieutenant Lv.900: Marine Captain Head over from Kingdom of Rose via the big bridge; Marine Captains use Aura, so don't treat elemental immunity as invincibility. |
| Lv.950–999 | Graveyard Island | Lv.950: Zombie Lv.975: Vampire Take the Zombie quest first; Vampires teleport, so if they're hard to group up, keep farming the Zombie quest you've already unlocked. |
| Lv.1000–1099 | Snow Mountain | Lv.1000: Snow Trooper Lv.1050: Winter Warrior Check the quest target and its elevation first, so you don't run back and forth between peaks looking for mobs. |
| Lv.1100–1249 | Hot and Cold | Lv.1100: Lab Subordinate Lv.1125: Horned Warrior Lv.1175: Magma Ninja Lv.1200: Lava Pirate Lv.1100 and 1125 are on the cold side; for Lv.1175 and 1200, switch to the quest giver on the hot side. |
| Lv.1250–1349 | Cursed Ship | Lv.1250: Ship Deckhand Lv.1275: Ship Engineer Lv.1300: Ship Steward Lv.1325: Ship Officer The regular ship door lets you in at Lv.1000, but the first leveling quest needs Lv.1250; don't mistake the entry requirement for the quest requirement. |
| Lv.1350–1424 | Ice Castle | Lv.1350: Arctic Warrior Lv.1375: Snow Lurker The Arctic Warrior quest only opens at Lv.1350; at Lv.1400 you can also take the Awakened Ice Admiral boss quest. |
| Lv.1425–1499 | Forgotten Island | Lv.1425: Sea Soldier Lv.1450: Water Fighter After Lv.1500, you still need to finish the Third Sea prerequisites; defeating the Tide Keeper isn't required to enter the Third Sea. |
After Lv.1500, finish the Colosseum, Don Swan and King Red Head story prerequisites, then talk to Mr. Captain to head to the Third Sea. See the unlock order →
Special locations: Dark Arena and Remote Island aren't part of the regular leveling quest route.

👉 Want to go faster? Combine a 2× EXP boost (2x EXP) with server hopping for bosses.
🌊 Third Sea Leveling Route
The Third Sea has the most content—while leveling, you're also stocking up on endgame resources (materials, Fragments, Bones, etc.).
Common requirements for entering the Third Sea:
- Level: usually Lv. 1500.
- Second Sea quest chain: involves the Colosseum quest, defeating Don Swan, the King Red Head story and more (Wiki).
- Mindset: mobs are tankier and maps are bigger, so efficiency matters even more.
No login needed—shows quest levels, your next stop and special prerequisites. See the full Third Sea route
Third Sea Regular Quest Route
Split by minimum quest level—it's not a forced island order or the fastest farming method. Bosses and special unlocks are covered separately.
| Level Range | Location | Quests & Tips |
|---|---|---|
| Lv.1500–1574 | Port Town | Lv.1500: Pirate Millionaire Lv.1525: Pistol Billionaire Find the quest giver and set your Home Point first. The local boss is a bonus target, not a requirement for moving on to the next island. |
| Lv.1575–1699 | Hydra Island | Lv.1575: Dragon Crew Warrior Lv.1600: Dragon Crew Archer Lv.1625: Hydra Enforcer Lv.1650: Venomous Assailant Finish the regular quest loop first; bosses and unlocks like Yama can be separate goals—no need to mix them into every leveling run. |
| Lv.1700–1774 | Great Tree | Lv.1700: Marine Commodore Lv.1725: Marine Rear Admiral The regular leveling quests go Marine Commodore, then Marine Rear Admiral; boss quests are a separate choice, so you don't need to stop leveling to wait for a respawn. |
| Lv.1775–1974 | Floating Turtle | Lv.1775: Fishman Raider Lv.1800: Fishman Captain Lv.1825: Forest Pirate Lv.1850: Mythological Pirate Lv.1900: Jungle Pirate Lv.1925: Musketeer Pirate This area has several quest givers. | Lv.1975–2074 | Haunted Castle | Lv.1975: Reborn Skeleton Lv.2000: Living Zombie Lv.2025: Demonic Soul Lv.2050: Possessed Mummy You can collect Bones while leveling; take the right quest first, then fight the matching enemies. |
| Lv.2075–2124 | Peanut Land | Lv.2075: Peanut Scout Lv.2100: Peanut President The first stop in the Sea of Treats; the Sea of Treats has five islands, so not every quest is in the same place. |
| Lv.2125–2199 | Ice Cream Land | Lv.2125: Ice Cream Chef Lv.2150: Ice Cream Commander After unlocking Ice Cream Commander at Lv.2150, the next regular quest is on Cake Land at Lv.2200. |
| Lv.2200–2299 | Cake Land | Lv.2200: Cookie Crafter Lv.2225: Cake Guard Lv.2250: Baking Staff Lv.2275: Head Baker Lv.2275 is the Head Baker on Cake Land, not a Chocolate Land quest; Chocolate Land starts at Lv.2300. |
| Lv.2300–2399 | Chocolate Land | Lv.2300: Cocoa Warrior Lv.2325: Chocolate Bar Battler Lv.2350: Sweet Thief Lv.2375: Candy Rebel Four regular quests unlock in order, and you can also collect Conjured Cocoa toward your gear goals. |
| Lv.2400–2449 | Candy Cane Land | Lv.2400: Candy Pirate Lv.2425: Snow Demon The last stop in the Sea of Treats; at Lv.2450 you can move on to the Tiki Outpost quests. |
| Lv.2450–2599 | Tiki Outpost | Lv.2450: Isle Outlaw Lv.2475: Island Boy Lv.2500: Sun-kissed Warrior Lv.2525: Isle Champion Lv.2550: Serpent Hunter Lv.2575: Skull Slayer New quests also open at Lv.2550 and 2575. | Lv.2600–2799 | Submerged Island | Lv.2600: Reef Bandit Lv.2625: Coral Pirate Lv.2650: Sea Chanter Lv.2675: Ocean Prophet Lv.2700: High Disciple Lv.2725: Grand Devotee Defeat the Tyrant of the Skies first, then find the Submarine Worker at Tiki Outpost's first submarine dock. Reaching the level doesn't mean the submarine is unlocked. |
After Lv.2800: the base leveling cap is Lv.2800; each First Sea Island Secret grants 5 hidden levels, so all 40 add up to 200 extra levels. You can do secrets early—no need to wait until Lv.2800. See secret walkthroughs and videos →
Supply & utility locations: Castle on the Sea isn't part of the regular quest route. Sea Events have their own boat, team and summoning requirements.

⚡ Fast Leveling Tips
- Server hop for bosses: bosses usually give way more EXP than regular mobs. Once you've beaten one, switch servers and find the same boss to fight again.
- Use EXP boosts (2x EXP) when you have time to play nonstop: check Codes first and hold on to the EXP boosts until you can focus on playing.
- Mob pull + AoE clear: group the mobs up first, then wipe them out all at once with AoE skills—it's much faster.
- Stable first, then fast: if you keep getting one-shot, add Defense or switch to damage-reduction gear—each death wastes more time than you think.
Tired of grinding? Switch it up: check out the Sword Guide, All Fighting Styles or browse the Player Market.
❓ Leveling FAQ
Q: What should a new player do first when leveling?
A: Take a quest before fighting mobs. In the Second and Third Sea, remember to set your Home Point on the island you're currently grinding (the First Sea has had no Set Home Point NPC since Update 30). Just killing mobs along the way usually gives less EXP, so you'll level much slower.
Q: When is the best time to activate a 2x EXP code?
A: Wait until you can play for a good while without stopping, and combine it with quests, server hopping for bosses or AoE mob clearing for the best results.
Q: Should I keep swapping fruits just for leveling?
A: Don't switch just because someone says a fruit is strong. Light or Ice work fine in the First Sea, and Buddha is very reliable from the Second Sea on; before trading, check fruit values and the player trade calculator.
