Ice

Elemental ❄️ Strong Crowd Control An ice fruit with a strong sense of control that can freeze enemies in place.
📝 Overview:
Ice focuses on ground crowd control, a normal attack and reliable combos, and its Frost Walker passive creates ice platforms on the sea.
C and V freeze enemies; unawakened X only knocks back and doesn't freeze (only the awakened X briefly freezes). It's weak against airborne targets, so force opponents who stay in the air back to the ground first.
Officially confirmed | Balance Patch 001 (awakened):
X now breaks Instinct and its hitbox is 25% larger; C's travel speed is 60% faster; V can now be used in the air.

📍 1. How to Get & Role

This is an Uncommon Elemental fruit; it's cheap and its skills don't need much Mastery.

  • Shop price: $350,000 Beli / 750 Robux.
  • Role:
    • Leveling (A): Elemental Reflex, the Ice Trident normal attack and AoE moves make First Sea leveling very steady.
    • PvP (A): C and V freeze, setting up Fighting Style or sword combos, but it's clearly weaker in air fights.
    • Mobility (A): Even unawakened, Frost Walker creates ice platforms on water; after awakening F you can skate at high speed.

💥 2. Skills (Unawakened)

Ice's skills are all about “freeze them and don't let them leave.”

Key Skill name Notes
M1 Ice Trident (normal attack) Attacks up close with an ice trident; its damage scales with the Blox Fruit stat, so it can hit Blade fruit users.
Z Ice Spears
Mastery 1
Rapidly fires a string of ice spears; direct hits and ground explosions are calculated separately, making it good for mid-range pressure.
X Ice Surge
Mastery 25
Stomps the ground and sends an ice wave forward that deals damage and knockback; this move doesn't freeze enemies and can't be used in the air.
C Ice Bird
Mastery 50
Launches an ice bird that explodes on contact and freezes the target for about 1.5 seconds; a key combo starter in the unawakened kit.
V Glacial Epoch
Mastery 100
Turns a large area of ground into ice and freezes enemies for about 2 seconds; during that time, neither you nor those hit can attack, dash or jump.
Passive Frost Walker Creates a walkable ice platform when you touch the sea, costing about 4 Energy each time; other players can stand on it too. If you get pushed under the platform, you can still drown unless you're using the Shark race.
⚠️ Awakening tips:
The Ice fruit can be awakened!
The awakening order is Z → F → X → C → V (fixed by the game); if you want mobility first, complete the first two, and control or combo players can then go for the full awakening.

💎 2-1. Awakening Process & Cost

The Ice fruit is awakened in the Ice Raid; for getting chips, entry requirements and Fragment rewards, see the Complete Raids & Fruit Awakening Guide first.

  1. Raid rooms are on Hot and Cold in the Second Sea and at Castle on the Sea in the Third Sea. At level 700 (once you can enter the Second Sea) you can join Raids that others start; to buy a chip yourself from the Mysterious Scientist, you need to be level 1100.
  2. Normal chips can be bought for 100,000 Beli (2-hour cooldown), or you can hand over any Physical fruit to skip the cooldown.
  3. With the Ice fruit equipped, clear the Ice Raid, then talk to the Mysterious Entity and spend Fragments to awaken a move; you can only awaken one move each time.

Here's the awakening order and cost (the game fixes this order: after each clear, the Mysterious Entity only asks whether you want to awaken the “next move” — you can't choose):

  • Awakening 1: Z “Cold Storm” – 500 Fragments
    (running total: about 500 Fragments)
  • Awakening 2: F “Ice Skating” – 2,000 Fragments
    (running total: about 2,500 Fragments)
  • Awakening 3: X “Glacial Surge” – 3,000 Fragments
    (running total: about 5,500 Fragments)
  • Awakening 4: C “Frozen Dragon” – 4,000 Fragments
    (running total: about 9,500 Fragments)
  • Awakening 5: V “Absolute Zero” – 5,000 Fragments
    (running total: about 14,500 Fragments)

To fully awaken Ice, you need 14,500 Fragments in total.

✨ 2-2. Awakened Moves at a Glance

  • Z: Cold Storm | Mastery 1 | 500 Fragments – Fires a slow-moving ice storm that deals multiple hits on contact and keeps the target controlled.
  • F: Ice Skating | Mastery 0 | 2,000 Fragments – Lets you skate at high speed; the lower your HP, the slower you skate, and using it on water drains a lot of Energy.
  • X: Glacial Surge | Mastery 25 | 3,000 Fragments – Unleashes huge, jagged icebergs that launch enemies and briefly freeze them, with more knockback than the unawakened version. Since Balance Patch 001, it breaks Instinct and its hitbox is 25% larger.
  • C: Frozen Dragon | Mastery 50 | 4,000 Fragments – An ice dragon rises into the sky, then dives at the targeted area, causing a large explosion that freezes enemies. Balance Patch 001 made it fly 60% faster.
  • V: Absolute Zero | Mastery 100 | 5,000 Fragments – Erupts a huge ice wave around you that freezes enemies; for about 2 seconds, neither side can attack, dash or Air Jump. Since Balance Patch 001, it can be used in the air.

🎮 3. Combat Tips

  • Combo tips:
    • Freeze the enemy with C or V first; unawakened X is a knockback move, not a freeze.
    • While they can't move, switch to a Fighting Style or sword and go in for damage.
    • In PvP, keep your opponent on the ground first; most moves struggle against targets that stay in the air for long.
  • Moving on water: Without awakening, you can already create ice platforms on water, costing about 4 Energy each time; awakened F lets you skate at high speed, but the lower your HP, the slower you go.

✅ 4. FAQ

  • Can unawakened Ice walk on water? Yes. Frost Walker is a fruit passive, so you don't need to awaken F first.
  • Does Ice's X freeze? Unawakened X doesn't; it only deals damage and knockback. Awakened X (Glacial Surge) launches enemies and briefly freezes them.
  • Is Ice good for air combat? No. Most of its skills rely on the ground, so they're hard to land when your opponent stays in the air.
