🧬 Blox Fruits Races Guide
In Blox Fruits, your Race determines your passive abilities. When you first join, you get one of 4 base Races: Human about 62.5%, and Shark, Angel and Rabbit about 12.5% each.
Want to get stronger? You'll need V2, V3 or even V4 Awakening!
💡 Quick Pick: Which Race should I choose?
Not sure what to pick? Just follow these three cards!
From V2, falling in water won't drain your HP, so Sea Beast fights are worry-free
Super fast, great for chasing and escaping
🤔 How do I change my Race?
1. Buy a Race Reroll in the Products Shop (90 Robux); it may also be sold during events like Christmas, Halloween and Valentine's.
2. Find the Race Reroll NPC (Tort): in the Cafe in the Second Sea, or in the Mansion on Floating Turtle in the Third Sea. Pay 3,000 Fragments for a random reroll with no cooldown (not available in the First Sea).
A reroll never gives you your current Race again: if you're one of the 4 base Races, each of the other 3 has about a 33% chance; if you're a special Race, each of the 4 base Races has about 25%. Tip: switching back to Ghoul / Draco is free once unlocked; switching back to Cyborg costs 2,500 Fragments each time.
👤 4 Core Races
These are the Races you get at random when you create a character or reroll your Race.
| Race | Traits & Verdict | V3/V4 highlights |
|---|---|---|
|
Traits: Balanced, focused on damage. Verdict: The early-game boost is subtle, but its late-game PvP burst is huge. |
V3: The lower your HP, the more damage you deal (Last Resort). V4: Limit Break builds rage to boost damage; Psycho gives 3 Flash Step charges, brief invisibility and a speed boost. |
|
Traits: King of the water, high defense. Verdict: Top pick for beginners! From V2, even with a fruit eaten you won't lose HP when you fall into water, so your first Sea Events feel safe. |
V3: Damage taken reduced by about 70% (Water Body). V4: Whirlpool makes your attacks slow enemies and lower their defense by 5%; Leviathan's Armor gives a water shield that you restore by dealing damage. |
|
Traits: Air advantage; heals at V3. Verdict: Jumps higher, and V2 adds an extra Air Jump for strong survivability. |
V3: When activated, +15% defense and continuous healing (Heavenly Blood). V4: King's Rule creates a field that slows, drains energy, deals damage and stuns at close range; Prince of the Skies grants gliding and flight. |
|
Traits: The fastest Race. Verdict: Formerly called Mink. Excellent for getting around the map, chasing players down and escaping. |
V3: Movement speed becomes 4x normal (Agility). V4: Whirlwind makes your dash leave tornadoes that trap enemies and use up their Instinct dodges; Lightning Cloak extends your dash distance. |
🧬 3 Unlockable Races
These Races can't be obtained at random; you have to complete complex puzzle quests to unlock them.
| Race | Unlock Steps | Traits & Verdict |
|---|---|---|
|
Very hard! Here are the steps: 1. Get a Fist of Darkness from a Second Sea Sea Beast (2.5%) or from the new chests that spawn once a server has been up for 4 hours. 2. Go to the Secret Laboratory on Hot and Cold and insert the Fist of Darkness into the central console to permanently enable Core Brain drops. 3. Buy a Microchip from Arlthmetic for 1,000 Fragments and start the Order Raid in the lab; after you defeat Order, the Core Brain drops at a 5% chance. ※ You only need to insert the Fist of Darkness successfully once; the progress is saved permanently. 4. Insert the Core Brain into the console to open the hidden room, then pay 2,500 Fragments to unlock it (switching back to Cyborg later still costs 2,500 Fragments each time). |
Traits: Converts part of the damage you take into energy; great at close-range AoE disruption. Verdict: Popular with combo players; V3 gives damage reduction, damage over time, and disrupts enemies' Instinct when you're up close. |
|
Requirements: Access to the Cursed Ship in the Second Sea (the cabin entrance usually needs Lv.1000+). Steps: 1. Farm mobs on the Cursed Ship to collect 100 Ectoplasm. 2. Defeat the Cursed Captain, who has a chance to drop the Hellfire Torch (only drops at Lv.1000+). ※ The Hellfire Torch can't be stored; you drop it when you die, and it disappears if you leave the server. 3. Find Experimic in the ship's kitchen and hand over the Ectoplasm and the torch to become a Ghoul (switching back to Ghoul is free once unlocked). |
Traits: Fighting Style attacks drain HP, and you run faster at night. Verdict: Great for leveling: Fighting Style lifesteal + Buddha's damage reduction gives excellent sustain. |
|
Requirements: Reach the Third Sea (usually Lv.1500+). Steps (short version): 1. Train Dragon Talon to 500 Mastery and, on Hydra Island, complete the belt quests at the Dragon Dojo to get the Black Belt. 2. Craft a Volcanic Magnet and find Prehistoric Island at sea. 3. Learn Dragon Tether from the Dragon Wizard, complete the Volcano Event and pick up a Dragon Egg. 4. Give the Dragon Egg to the Dragon Wizard to unlock Draco (switching back to Draco is free once unlocked). ※ For detailed steps and common sticking points, see the dedicated Draco page. |
Traits: Team support + enemy debuffs (boosts allies' damage and speed, V4 adds defense or damage reflection, slows enemies). Verdict:A top-tier Race for PvP, teams and Sea Events; hard to get, but extremely strong. |
🆙 Race Awakening Guide
Getting a Race is just the start; you'll need Awakenings to unlock stronger abilities.
⚡ V2 Awakening: Unlock a passive ability
- Applies to: Human / Shark / Angel / Rabbit / Ghoul / Cyborg (Draco has its own quest)
- Requirements: Lv.850+ and complete Bartilo's Colosseum Quest in the Second Sea
- NPC:Alchemist (Green Zone, Second Sea)
- Steps: Accept the quest → collect 3 flowers (Red / Blue / Yellow) → hand them in and pay 500,000 Beli to complete V2 (details in Race V2 Awakening)
- Tip: Flowers can't be stored and disappear if you die or leave the server. The Blue Flower only appears at night, the Red Flower during the day, and the Yellow Flower drops from mobs in the Second Sea.
- Draco V2: Lv.2000+. Get the quest from the Dragon Wizard: defeat mobs for a low-chance Fire Flower drop ×5 (after each one appears there's a 5–15 minute cooldown; server hopping resets it) → pay 1,000,000 Beli to finish.
🔥 V3 Awakening: Unlock a special skill (press T)
- General requirements: Have a V2 Race, Lv.1000+, defeat Don Swan and unlock the entrance to his room.
- Cost: You need 2,000,000 Beli on hand before talking to Arowe (paid after you finish the quest).
- Location:In the Second Sea, near the Cafe in the Kingdom of Rose, there's a hidden entrance on the side of the big sunflower hill where Diamond is; find Arowe inside (details in Race V3 Quest).
- Race-specific quests:
- Human: Defeat three Bosses: Diamond, Jeremy and Orbitus (any order).
- Shark: Defeat a naturally spawned Sea Beast; ones summoned by players or the Tide Keeper don't count.
- Angel: Defeat another Angel player (you don't need to get any bounty; suspicious kills don't count).
- Rabbit: Collect 30 chests on the map.
- Ghoul: Defeat players 5 times; you can defeat the same player repeatedly and don't actually need to earn bounty. The Wiki's “Ghoul” page says the opponent must be Lv.700+, and suspicious kills and friendly fights in private servers don't count (other pages are less strict).
- Cyborg: Show Arowe a physical fruit (he won't take it).
- Draco: Done through the Dragon Wizard instead: first complete the Horned Man quest, then defeat a Terrorshark (dealing at least 10% of the damage), and finally pay 3,000,000 Beli.
👑 V4 Awakening: The Road to Godhood
This is the game's current endgame content, and the steps are extremely tedious.
- Requirements: Reach the Third Sea and have a V3 Race; first defeat rip_indra True Form and complete the Sealed King steps, then defeat the Dough King to get the Mirror Fractal.
- Find Mirage Island: Find Mirage Island at sea, go to the highest point on the island at night, look at the moon and activate your V3 skill until it resonates; any moon phase works (since Update 19, per the Wiki), but it must be night.
- Find the Gear: Find the glowing Blue Gear on Mirage Island and touch it before daybreak.
- Temple of Time: Go to the top of the Great Tree and use the Mysterious Force to enter the Temple of Time, then pull the hidden lever in the left corridor.
- Trials: During a Full Moon, 3 players of different Races who have all unlocked the entrance stand at their own trial doors and activate their V3 skills at the same time; the last one standing after the Race Trials and the free-for-all can place a Gear in the Ancient Clock.
- Training:Before every later trial, you must first complete training with the Ancient One and pay Fragments to upgrade; fully maxing out one Race costs 26,750 Fragments in total.

❓ FAQ
Which Race should beginners pick first?
Don't stress too much at the start. Human, Shark, Angel, Rabbit, Ghoul and Cyborg each have their uses; if you're mostly leveling, look at survivability, travel speed and how hard each one is to get first, then plan V2 / V3 / V4 once you reach the Second and Third Seas.
What's the difference between Race V2, V3 and V4?
V2 usually strengthens your passive ability, V3 unlocks an active skill, and V4 is late-game Awakening content that needs more complex requirements, trials and resources. Don't rush V4 while you're still leveling.
Is Draco right for every player?
Draco is very strong, but its unlock process and requirements are demanding, so it's better suited to players who've reached the Third Sea and can reliably handle Sea Events and farm materials.
Is the best Race for PvP the same as for leveling?
Not exactly. Leveling is more about survivability, mobility and steady damage; PvP depends more on skill timing, crowd control and combos. It's best to look at it together with your fruit, Fighting Style and weapons.
