Magma
Magma is known for high damage and lingering, burning magma pools, which are especially effective against big targets like Sea Beasts and the Leviathan.
After awakening at least one move, you get Magmatic Walker to walk on water, but every platform it creates costs energy; using Flash Step on the water can get you stuck and drown you.
📍 1. How to Get & Role
This is a Rare Elemental fruit with a mid-range price, and its unawakened Mastery requirements are low.
- Shop price: $960,000 Beli / 1,300 Robux.
- Role:
- Big-target damage (S+): Multi-hit magma and lingering ground damage let big targets take more full hits.
- Sea activities (S+): Great for Sea Beasts, the Leviathan and ship raids, but keep an eye on how its skills handle airborne targets and how fast they land.
- Mobility (A): After awakening at least one move you can walk on water, and awakened F gives up to about 26s of flight.
💥 2. Skills (Unawakened)
Magma's skills focus on high damage and leaving the ground burning.
| Key | Skill name | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Z | Magma Clap Mastery 1 |
Creates two magma hands that clap together after a short delay, dealing close-range AoE damage. |
| X | Magma Eruption Mastery 45 |
Triggers an eruption at your crosshair (only close to you), launching enemies above and nearby into the air and leaving 1 to 3 magma pools that deal damage over time. |
| C | Magma Fist Mastery 95 |
Throws a large magma ball toward your crosshair that explodes on landing and leaves a bigger magma pool that deals damage over time. |
| V | Magma Meteors Mastery 140 |
Throws about 4 to 5 magma meteors toward your crosshair; they burst into small chunks on hitting the ground or a target, and the chunks deal heavy damage over time that can stack. |
| F | Magma Floor Mastery 10 |
Turns you into a temporary magma pool you can move around in, stacking ground damage; on release you leap upward and launch enemies above you. You can still be hit while using it. It moves very slowly and can't be used at sea or in the air. |
The Magma fruit can be awakened!
After awakening at least one move you get Magmatic Walker: touching the sea creates a magma platform, costing about 4 energy each time; if you run out of energy or use Flash Step on the water, you can still fall into the sea.
💎 2-1. Awakening Process & Cost
The Magma fruit is awakened in the Magma Raid; for getting chips, entry requirements and Fragment rewards, see the full Raids & Fruit Awakening guide.
- Once you reach the Second Sea, you can join Raids others start; to buy a chip yourself from the Mysterious Scientist, you need to be Level 1100. The Raid room is in the lab on the cold side of Hot and Cold in the Second Sea (its location after the Update 29 island rework), and in the Third Sea it's at the Castle on the Sea.
- Normal chips can be bought for 100,000 Beli (2-hour cooldown), or you can hand over any Physical fruit to skip the cooldown.
- With the Magma fruit equipped, clear the Magma Raid, then talk to the Mysterious Entity and spend Fragments to awaken a move; you can only awaken one move at a time.
Here's the awakening order and cost (the game fixes this order: after each clear, the Mysterious Entity only asks whether you want to awaken the “next move” — you can't choose):
- Awakening #1: Z – Magma Shower – 500 Fragments
(about 500 Fragments in total) - Awakening #2: F – Beast Ride – 2,000 Fragments
(about 2,500 Fragments in total) - Awakening #3: X – Volcanic Assault – 3,000 Fragments
(about 5,500 Fragments in total) - Awakening #4: C – Great Magma Hound – 4,000 Fragments
(about 9,500 Fragments in total) - Awakening #5: V – Volcanic Storm – 5,000 Fragments
(about 14,500 Fragments in total)
To fully awaken Magma, you need 14,500 Fragments in total.
✨ 2-2. Awakened Moves at a Glance
- Z: Magma Shower | Mastery 1 | 500 Fragments – Rapidly hurls lots of magma rocks toward your crosshair, leaving several magma pools; hold to increase the number of projectiles.
- F: Beast Ride | Mastery 10 | 2,000 Fragments – Ride a magma beast to fly, leaving a scorching trail, for up to about 26s; on release it turns into a damaging magma pool.
- X: Volcanic Assault | Mastery 45 | 3,000 Fragments – Dashes forward leaving magma along the way; if it grabs a single enemy, it blasts them repeatedly and finishes with a powerful burst that knocks them back. Note: this move can't hit big targets like Sea Beasts or the Leviathan.
- C: Great Magma Hound | Mastery 95 | 4,000 Fragments – Throws a large hound-shaped mass of magma that leaves magma pools along its path; a direct hit drags the enemy along and briefly controls them.
- V: Volcanic Storm | Mastery 140 | 5,000 Fragments – Throws a huge amount of magma toward your crosshair that causes a large explosion and several magma pools on contact with a surface.
🎮 3. Combat Tips
- Beast Hunter: Awakened Magma's high sustained damage is great against Sea Beasts and the Leviathan. You can use Magmatic Walker to stand on the water and deal damage, but you still need to manage your energy; awakened X (Volcanic Assault) can't hit Sea Beasts or the Leviathan, so use Z, C and V on big targets.
- Mob-farming tips: Awakened V (Volcanic Storm) and Z (Magma Shower) both have wide AoE and magma pool damage, so they're more efficient once you've gathered mobs together.
- PvP: Most of its projectiles are slow and hard to land on airborne targets; locking the target down with other crowd control first and keeping them inside magma pools is more reliable than casting from long range.
