Dark

Elemental ⚫ Heavy Stun Control A PvP control fruit that excels at pulling enemies in, pinning them down and starting weapon combos.
📝 Overview:
Dark is an Elemental fruit built around PvP crowd control.
Once awakened, it can pull enemies in with black holes, hold them with sustained control and close the gap with short-range teleports, pairing well with a sword or gun. However, its damage and range aren't outstanding, and missing a skill leaves you open to counterattacks.
Officially confirmed | Balance Patch 001 (Awakened):
Z no longer stuns the user, and its range and hitbox are each increased by 25%; X now breaks Instinct, with 25% shorter endlag; C's hitbox is 15% larger, and the final hit's stun after a full charge lasts 50% longer; V's cast time and endlag are each 25% shorter, and its travel speed is 20% faster.

📍 1. How to Get & Role

This is an Uncommon Elemental fruit: it's cheap and its skills have low Mastery requirements.

  • Shop price: $500,000 Beli / 950 Robux.
  • Role:
    • PvP (S): When awakened, it has long control, teleport chase-downs and excellent weapon combo starters.
    • Leveling (B): It has Elemental Reflex, but long cooldowns and low damage and range make it a poor pick for fast mob clearing.
    • Team Control (A): X, C and V pull in or lock down targets, buying your teammates time to deal damage.

💥 2. Skills (Unawakened)

Dark is all about black holes and stuns.

Key Skill name Notes
Z Dark Rocks
Mastery 1
Pulls several rocks wreathed in darkness from the ground and fires them at your cursor. Decent range, but they travel slowly and don't stun.
X Black Spiral
Mastery 40
Creates a black hole at your cursor that traps and damages enemies, then flings them outward at the end. You can hold it for up to about 3 seconds; the longer you charge, the stronger the damage and control.
C Black Hole
Mastery 80
Spreads a large black hole around you that deals continuous damage and lifts targets in the area into the air.
V Dark Bomb
Mastery 110
Throws a large dark orb toward your cursor that drags targets along its path into it and damages them.
⚠️ Awakening tips:
The Dark fruit can be awakened!
For PvP, unlock at least Z, F and X: Z teleports you to the target on hit for a follow-up, F gives a short-range blink, and X and C handle pulling and sustained control.

💎 2-1. Awakening Process & Cost

The Dark fruit can be awakened in the Dark Raid. For how to get Microchips, entry requirements and Fragment rewards, see the complete Raids & fruit awakening guide.

  1. Once you reach the Second Sea, you can join raids others have started; to buy a chip yourself from the Mysterious Scientist, you need to be level 1100.
  2. Normal chips can be bought for 100,000 Beli (2-hour cooldown), or you can hand over any Physical fruit to skip the cooldown.
  3. With the Dark fruit equipped, clear the Dark Raid, then talk to the Mysterious Entity; each time, the next move unlocks in a fixed order.

Here is the game's fixed awakening order; you can't skip ahead or pick moves yourself:

  • Awakening #1: Z – Dimensional Slash – 500 Fragments
    (about 500 Fragments total)
  • Awakening #2: F – Ghastly Step – 2,000 Fragments
    (about 2,500 Fragments total)
  • Awakening #3: X – Abyssal Darkness – 3,000 Fragments
    (about 5,500 Fragments total)
  • Awakening #4: C – Endless Hole – 4,000 Fragments
    (about 9,500 Fragments total)
  • Awakening #5: V – World of Darkness – 5,000 Fragments
    (about 14,500 Fragments total)

To fully awaken Dark, you need 14,500 Fragments in total.

✨ 2-2. Awakened Moves at a Glance

  • Z: Dimensional Slash | Mastery 1 | 500 Fragments – Summons a dark sword that fires a vertical slash; on hit, you teleport next to the target and strike again. Since Balance Patch 001, it no longer stuns you, and its range and hitbox are each 25% larger.
  • F: Ghastly Step | Mastery 0 | 2,000 Fragments – A short-range blink that leaves a purple afterimage; use it to chase, escape or dodge moves.
  • X: Abyssal Darkness | Mastery 40 | 3,000 Fragments – Creates a dark vortex and tentacles in front of you; while held, it keeps pulling in, controlling and damaging targets. Since Balance Patch 001, it breaks Instinct and has 25% shorter endlag.
  • C: Endless Hole | Mastery 80 | 4,000 Fragments – Creates a black hole that grows while held, dealing rapid multi-hit damage and restraining enemies in range. Balance Patch 001 made its hitbox 15% larger and the final hit's stun after a full charge 50% longer.
  • V: World of Darkness | Mastery 110 | 5,000 Fragments – Throws a spiked dark orb that sucks in nearby targets, then implodes and flings them outward. Balance Patch 001 cut its cast time and endlag by 25% each and increased its travel speed by 20%.

🎮 3. Combat Tips

  • PvP combos:
    • Start with awakened X or C to pull in and lock down the target.
    • Before the control ends, switch to your sword, gun or Fighting Style for damage. Awakened Z teleports you for a follow-up on hit, but it isn't your main stun move.
    • F is a short-range blink, good for closing the gap again or avoiding counterattacks; it doesn't deal damage.
  • Leveling note: It has Elemental Reflex, but its skills have long cooldowns and low range and damage; if your goal is to level fast, Magma or Light is usually better.

✅ 4. FAQ & Sources

  • Does unawakened Z stun? No. It fires several dark rocks, and its main weaknesses are projectile speed and hit detection.
  • Is awakened Z a ranged attack or a dash? Both: it fires a slash first, and only on hit does it teleport you next to the target for a follow-up.
  • Is Dark good for a pure fruit damage build? Not really. Its strength is control, so pairing it with a sword or gun usually gives you more complete damage.
