Update 24 replaced Dragon Classic with East/West Dragon. We keep this page to help identify old videos, old numbers and compensation records; for current skills, prices and how to get it, see the complete current Dragon guide.
From release to sales halt to replacement
Dragon Classic officially arrived, and at the time it was one of the most expensive and iconic transformation fruits.
The shop switched to showing "IN PROGRESS" and normal ways of getting it were closed, leaving only existing physical fruits in player trades.
Dragon Classic was retired; the current Dragon became East/West Dragon and gained a hybrid form and M1.
The devs explained the East/West Dragon compensation for Permanent and physical owners, and how extra copies would be converted into tokens.
Fury Meter & old transformation rules
Dragon Classic only had two stages, normal form → full Dragon, with no hybrid form like the current Dragon. The Fury Meter starts at 50% when your character respawns; it recharges passively while untransformed, taking about 1 min 30 s to go from 0% to 100%.
You can only press V to transform when Fury is full, and the transformation itself costs about 15%. Once transformed, Fury drains over time and as you use skills; landing Z, X or C in Dragon form restores some, and taking damage also restores some Fury.
Dragon form gives 65% damage reduction and lets you fly directly, but the model is huge, so you're also more likely to take the full brunt of AoE attacks.
In the old version, you changed your wing and Dragon colors by flying through colored rings on the map; this is not the current Dragon's fruit skin system.
The five old skills
Heatwave Beam
Normal: Fires an energy beam from your mouth that knocks targets back.
Transformed: Becomes a much bigger fire beam with longer range and a larger hitbox.
Dragon Flight
In normal form, you sprout dragon wings to fly, moving faster when aiming upward. Dragon form can already fly on its own, so F can't be used while transformed.
Dragonic Claw
Normal: Dashes toward your cursor, grabs an enemy and drags them, finishing with a burn; hitting in midair carries the opponent down to the ground.
Transformed: Instead fires arc-shaped claw slashes in three directions that inflict a brief burn on hit.
Fire Shower
Normal: Leaps up and rapid-fires fireballs at the ground; you can hold it for about 2.5 seconds. The explosions knock back and briefly stun.
Transformed: Fires a giant fireball from your mouth that explodes on impact and leaves burn damage.
Transformation
With a full Fury Meter you turn into a giant dragon, gaining 65% damage reduction, flight, bigger skill ranges and shorter cooldowns; press V again to return to your player form.
Historical cooldowns, Energy and Fury changes
| Key | Normal form Cooldown / Energy | Dragon form Cooldown / Energy | Fury restored on hit in Dragon form (approx.) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Z | 7.5 sec / 40 | 5 sec / 40 | 7.5% |
| X | 10.5 sec / 60 | 7 sec / 60 | 10% |
| C | 15 sec / 100 | 12 sec / 100 | 15% |
| V | 1.5 sec / 10 | 1.5 sec / 10 | Transforming costs about 15%; canceling the transformation doesn't affect Fury |
| F | 5 sec / 50 | Unavailable | — |
The above is historical data from before Dragon Classic was retired, useful only for checking old videos and old guides; don't use it to work out combos, Fury or cooldowns for the current East/West Dragon.

How did the Update 24 owner compensation work?
Old-version combat ratings
Its wide-area, long-range and Instinct-breaking skills were strong, with great aerial pressure; but the dragon model was so big that it easily ate every hit up close.
Single bosses took the full brunt of its wide-area firepower, and the transformation's damage reduction gave room for error; the normal X grab didn't always work fully on large targets.
Its skills had strong knockback and C didn't unlock until 250 Mastery, so it grouped mobs worse than the popular leveling fruits of the time; it was better for bosses than for grinding dense packs of mobs.
