Blox Fruits Dragon Fruit Guide 2026
What you need to do is simple: build up your Fury Meter, enter your Transformation, and dominate the whole area with wide-range skills.
X “Infernal Pincer” now breaks Instinct, and its hitbox is 20% larger. This change is listed only for Hybrid and doesn't extend to Base or Full Form.
🎯 East Dragon or West Dragon: which should you pick?
Want a faster pace and smoother chasing → pick East Dragon
Want head-on pressure and a beefier sense of range → pick West Dragon
🧡 What is the Fury Meter? Why does everyone say “build Fury first”?
Dragon's core mechanic is the two-stage Fury Meter: orange bar → enter Hybrid; then fill the red bar → enter Full Form.
- Orange Fury (stage 1): it slowly refills while you're not transformed (which is why many players farm mobs for a while to fill it first).
- Red Fury (stage 2): mainly builds up from the damage you deal (hitting mobs or players both count).
- How does Fury drain after transforming?: Once transformed, Fury doesn't passively tick down to zero, but using skills consumes it; also, when you transform, a “flame indicator” appears above the meter and it briefly starts dropping, and taking damage starts it draining again. If your Fury is knocked out completely, you revert.
You only need to do one thing: fill the red Fury with damage that “hits lots of targets”.
- Fill the orange first → press V to enter Hybrid (Hybrid fills red more easily).
- Pull mobs into a pile → clear them with C → follow up with Z for extra damage.
- Don't stand there tanking hits: getting hit drains Fury, and your red bar will fill much more slowly.
1) By design, defeating a player within 50 levels of you while transformed fully refills your Fury; the Wiki also notes a bug where the level limit may currently not apply, and this could be fixed at any time.
2) In large transformed forms, getting hit in the head drains Fury faster: don't keep tanking ranged fire with your face.
In Hybrid / Full Form, Dragon can't use Fighting Styles, swords or guns (only Dragon moves are available).
So get used to the rhythm of “doing a whole combo with Dragon skills” instead of constantly switching weapons.
🐲 Base vs. Hybrid vs. Full Form: what's the difference?
| Form | What you become | What you'll clearly notice |
|---|---|---|
| Base | Your normal character + Dragon moves (not grown up yet) | Moves already hit hard, but range/pressure isn't at its peak yet. |
| Hybrid | A huge “human + dragon” hybrid form |
Tankier and hits harder; M1 attacks apply burn, so farming gets a lot faster. Many players actually grind a whole stretch comfortably in Hybrid alone. |
| Full Form | A full giant dragon: either East Dragon or West Dragon | Enters “raid boss mode”: huge range, huge damage, and you can fly. But your big size makes you easier to hit with ranged/AoE skills. |
- Hybrid: about 20% damage reduction (about 34% against NPCs); M1 attacks apply burn and empower your moves.
- Full Form: about 60% damage reduction + flight, and immunity to all stuns.
- Note: current data clearly lists full stun immunity under the Full Form passive. Don't assume Hybrid is fully immune to crowd control too.
🧩 Moveset (with Mastery requirements)
Here it is in “stuff you'll actually use” form: key, move name, Mastery needed and when to use it.
Also: the same key may have a different animation in Base / Hybrid / East Dragon / West Dragon, but its purpose stays about the same (damage, catching, clearing, movement).
| Key | Skill name | Unlock | How to use it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Z | Heatwave Cannon | 1 Mastery | Main damage move: fire a line through mobs when farming; in PvP, use it to force your opponent to move or to add damage. |
| F | Draconic Soar | 75 Mastery | Chasing / creating distance / traveling: it moves you, so it can also double as an engage or an escape. |
| X | Infernal Pincer | 150 Mastery | Catching and burst: best when you've backed your opponent into a corner or want to unload a big burst. Since Balance Patch 001, Hybrid X breaks Instinct, and its hitbox is 20% larger. |
| C | Scorching Downfall | 250 Mastery | Huge AoE clear: amazing for farming and great in Sea Events; in PvP, it's a zoning move that forces opponents to burn their dashes. |
| V | Imperial Evolution | 350 Mastery |
Transform key:
|
1) Clear mobs with Z / C to stabilize things → 2) build Fury up through combat → 3) when orange is full, press V to enter Hybrid → 4) fill the red bar while in Hybrid → 5) when red is full, press V again for Full Form and push through.
Throwing out every skill the moment you see it = lots of whiffs. Practice the rhythm of “find your range → use one move → chase → use the next one” and you'll get much faster.
🧡 Can Dragon carry players? (Mount / Ride) How to unlock
Requirements: Dragon equipped + 500 Dragon Mastery, then go to the Dragon Tamer and pay Fragments to unlock it.
- West Dragon: buy the “Saddle” to carry up to 5 allies.
- East Dragon: buy “Strong Hair” to carry up to 4 allies.
- Cost: 5,000 Fragments for each version.
- Quick tip: the upgrade only applies to the version you bought. If you want to carry players as both East and West, you need to buy each one.
- Second Sea: on top of a pillar on Graveyard Island, near the Cursed Ship.
- Third Sea: outside the Dragon Dojo on Hydra Island, near the top of the waterfall, next to a tree.
🎨 How do color Skins work?
You can get different colors by crafting (Craft); some colors may also be sold for Robux in the shop (usually with conditions / for a limited time).
Colors you own can be switched directly in the Skins category of your Inventory.
✅ How to get skins (simplest version)
- Basic colors: craft them at the Barista with Fragments + various Berries; you can also buy them directly with Robux (priced by rarity).
- Mythical colors (Emerald / Frostbite): first roll the “Recipe” from the Dragon Hunter, then go back to the Barista and craft it with Berries + Fragments.
- CHROMATIC effect colors: recolor the effects of your whole moveset (flashier look); usually Robux-only / limited-time rotations.
- Second Sea: center of the Cafe.
- Third Sea: side room of the Mansion.
🎨 Basic colors (craftable / or buy directly with Robux)

🌟 Mythical colors: Emerald / Frostbite (need a “Recipe” first)
Source: the Dragon Hunter's “Gacha” (recipe roll).
- Gather the materials first: Dragon Egg ×1, Dinosaur Bones ×15, Blaze Ember ×15.
- Go to the Dragon Hunter and choose Gacha to roll an East/West Dragon Emerald or Frostbite recipe (you won't get duplicate recipes).
- Once you have the recipe, go back to the Barista and craft the color with the materials below.
| Color | Rarity | Fragments | Materials |
|---|---|---|---|
| Emerald | Mythical | 10,000 | White Cloud ×3 + Green Toad ×5 |
| Frostbite | Mythical | 10,000 | White Cloud ×3 + Blue Icicle ×5 |
✨ CHROMATIC effect colors (recolors your whole move effect set)
Known CHROMATIC names so far: Eclipse, Blood Moon, Ember, Phoenix Sky and Violet Night. None of them are on sale as of 2026-10-22.
- Eclipse: sold for 1,999 Robux during Update 24; now off sale.
- Ember: was obtainable from the Winter 2025 Fruit Box at a 1% chance (guaranteed after opening 100 boxes); the event has ended.
- Blood Moon: price not announced; not currently on sale.
- Phoenix Sky: price not announced; not currently on sale.
- Violet Night: price not announced; not currently on sale.
Regular colors can also be bought directly with Robux from the Barista: Common 99, Uncommon 149, Rare 249, Legendary 399, Mythical 499 Robux (except Emerald and Frostbite).
📈 Want to reach 500 Mastery faster? (a few painless methods)
- Find tanky mobs that group up: hitting lots of them at once raises Mastery quickly.
- Lead with C when farming: C is usually your main big-AoE clear; pull a pack of mobs together before using it for the best efficiency.
- Remember to weave in Z: Z has a short cooldown and is great for extra damage, so you always have something to do.
- Don't keep chasing mobs that are far away: running around is the biggest time-waster; you're better off farming the same area.
🛒 Obtainment
-
Shop (Blox Fruit Dealer)
- Beli reference price: $15,000,000. The Wiki notes that the reworked Dragon's chance of appearing in the regular stock was once 0% (per the game files), so don't treat “waiting for a stock refresh” as your main way to get it. Whether it's actually in stock depends on the in-game stock.
- Robux: R$5,000, which buys the Permanent Dragon; you can re-equip it from the shop.
- Shop rule: If the Beli stock reopens later, buying from the Blox Fruit Dealer with Beli will directly replace the fruit you have equipped, and won't give you a Physical fruit you can store or trade.
-
Dragon Egg (Prehistoric Island)
When the Third Sea Sea Event Prehistoric Island ends, Dragon Eggs appear on the ground. Picking one up gives a very small chance of getting a Physical Dragon (East/West) directly (the Wiki lists about 0.1%–0.5%, so it's all luck).
Tip: you usually need to unlock requirements such as “Dragon Tether” with the related NPC at the Dojo before you can pick up Dragon Eggs. -
Dragon Token
This was a one-time compensation for existing Dragon owners when Update 24 launched, not a current way to get Dragon repeatedly. After the change, owners of old Physical Dragons received an East or West Dragon Physical fruit, and other regular tokens became a roll for set Mythical fruits; Permanent Dragon Tokens were removed, and their owners chose one Permanent version instead. -
Trading
You can trade with other players for a Physical Dragon still in their inventory, or have them put an unused Permanent Dragon / store item into the trade. Permanent fruits already activated on an account can't be traded again. -
Blox Fruit Gacha
Since Update 30, East/West Dragon can always be rolled from the Blox Fruit Gacha (as a Physical fruit). Before that it was only available for limited times: briefly in Update 29.2, and during the Update 29.5 Dog House Event there was a special Dragon prize pool for about 24 hours. The odds are low; if you get one, store it or check its value first before deciding whether to eat it. The First Sea Blox Fruit Gacha has moved to Middle Town.
🧪 Build Tips
- Farming: put most stats into Blox Fruit + some Defense to stay alive.
- PvP: besides fruit damage, practice spacing and survival; don't just stand there trading hits.
- For more comfort: pair it with a Race or items with good mobility for faster travel and steadier kiting.
❓ FAQ
Is Dragon now split into East Dragon and West Dragon?
Yes. After the Dragon Update, Dragon was reworked into two transformation paths: Eastern and Western. If you bought the Permanent Dragon, the official update notes say you can use both transformation options.
Should beginners eat Dragon right away?
Not really recommended for low-level beginners right at the start. Dragon is strong, but it needs a lot of Mastery and the transformation rhythm takes practice. If you're still early in the First Sea, steadier fruits like Ice, Buddha or Light are usually more comfortable.
What's the difference between a Physical Dragon and a Permanent Dragon?
Once you eat a Physical Dragon, it gets replaced if you eat another fruit later; a Permanent Dragon is bought with Robux and can be re-equipped any time. Before trading, always confirm whether you're getting a Physical fruit, a Permanent fruit or a token.
What should you work on first with Dragon?
First practice until you can reliably use its core damage and transformation skills, then go for Mount and high-Mastery play. If carrying players is your goal, the Dragon Tamer requirements listed above matter more.
