Werewolf Mutation

Werewolf

Mutation Beast Mythical Tiger Mutation Released 2025/10/31 Heavy damage + lifesteal sustain: brutal in PvP, with healing and a Blazing Form on top.
📝 This mutation in one sentence:
Werewolf is Tiger's Mythical mutation: its speed, accuracy and hit range are slightly lower than regular Tiger, but once transformed it gets about 30% damage reduction and makes up for it with stronger damage and sustain. Since official Balance Patch 001, all damage while transformed has 3% lifesteal; the official notes describe Blazing V's heal as restoring 30% of max health “when first infected with rabies,” and we don't stretch that to mean it triggers every time you enter Blazing (the Wiki says it restores 30% on entering Blazing). Defeating a player in Blazing Form still fully heals you. The “holding C restores 25% health on hit” mentioned in older sources has been removed from the Wiki, so we no longer list it.

Checked 2026-10: the Wiki lists Werewolf as a Mythical mutation of Tiger; it's not a regular skin but a mutation version you need to understand on its own.

🔁 How do you switch Werewolf back to Tiger?

Since Werewolf is a “Tiger mutation,” switching really means “switching mutation versions”: once you've unlocked Werewolf, you must have regular Tiger equipped or own Permanent Tiger before you can switch to Werewolf or back to Tiger in the Wardrobe in your inventory.

  1. First equip Tiger, or make sure your account owns Permanent Tiger.
  2. Open Inventory → Wardrobe → find Mutations.
  3. In Tiger's mutation list, pick Werewolf or Tiger to finish switching.
⚠️ Quick tip:
  • Eating a physical Werewolf fruit for the first time only unlocks the Werewolf mutation; you don't also get regular Tiger for free.
  • Only after you re-equip regular Tiger, or if you own Permanent Tiger, can you freely switch between the two unlocked versions in the Wardrobe.
  • Mutations and the original fruit don't share Mastery, so if you switch to Werewolf, you may need to grind Mastery again.

🧭 Obtainment

Werewolf is a mutation fruit, so how you get it differs a bit from regular fruits (in-game info and official events take priority).

Here's how it breaks down now: trading for existing special physical fruits is still a way to get it; if you already own Permanent Tiger, you can open the mutation preview on Tiger's page in the shop to check the 1,500 Robux Werewolf option. Map spawns, Candy Corn and the Halloween Gacha are all part of the 2025 event's history and can't be farmed anymore.
Method Current Status Notes
Trading Available You can trade for special physical fruits left over from the event; before trading, make sure the other player is offering the Werewolf mutation, not regular Tiger.
Permanent Fruit Shop Conditional Requires Permanent Tiger first; open the Mutations preview from Tiger's page, where the recorded standalone price is 1,500 Robux. Whether you can buy it depends on what the game shows.
Fruit Spawn Ended It used to spawn during the 2025 Halloween event; the event has ended, so it's not a current, permanent way to get it.
Shop Bundle Ended The Hunter Bundle was a limited bundle during the 2025 Halloween event (originally available 2025/10/31–11/17, priced at 3,999 Robux), and the Wiki's Werewolf entry lists it as purchasable “during the event.” If you want to get it with Robux now, use the Permanent Tiger mutation option in the row above.
Halloween Gacha Ended During the event, each roll cost 500 Candy Corn, up to 4 times per hour, and the grand prize was a special physical Werewolf fruit; the NPC and Candy Corn are both disabled now.

🧩 Moveset (with Mastery requirements)

Key Mastery Description
[Z] 1 Finger Revolver: tap to fire an exploding wolf head; hold to rapid-fire several small homing wolf heads that briefly stun, then finish with one big shot; damage is extremely high up close.
[X] 50 Spiraling Kick: has a ground version and an air version; it drags enemies and breaks Instinct, great for catching people at the start of a fight.
[C] 100 Afterimage Assault: in human form, a tap does multiple teleports followed by a ground slam; once transformed with the Fire Meter at 75%, hold to trigger a grab sequence (knee strike + triple slash, very high damage, with less knockback than Tiger). There are no i-frames while holding, and if it whiffs you're easy to punish.
[F] 200 Body Flicker: for movement + chasing; if it misses, you teleport forward several times, and if it hits, you teleport behind the enemy and smash them away.
[V] 300 Transformation: when cast, the screen briefly shows a localized night sky and full moon, then you howl, slash all around you and break Instinct. It's just an animation; you don't need to wait for actual night in the game world, and the transformation sequence itself has no i-frames.

🔥 Fire Meter, Blazing Form & Overheat (Key Mechanics)

Mechanic Key points
Fire Meter Builds up passively once transformed; landing Werewolf skills speeds it up. At 75% you can use the empowered [C]; at 100% you can enter Blazing Form (the second-stage transformation).
Lava Immunity Once transformed, you're immune to lava on Hot and Cold, Magma Village and in Flame/Magma Raids; lava on Prehistoric Island is not covered.
Ferocious Canine Werewolf's main transformed form: 33% cooldown reduction, about +70% speed, jump/dash boosts and 30% damage reduction, and since Balance Patch 001 all damage also has 3% lifesteal. But you can't switch to Fighting Styles/swords/guns, and you can't activate Race V4 while transformed.
Blazing Form With a full Fire Meter, press V again to enter the second-stage transformation: an empowered kit, cooldowns cut to about half of the human-form base, and boosts close to double the first stage, lasting up to 60 seconds. Balance Patch 001 describes the new heal as restoring 30% of max health “when first infected with rabies”; this is a different effect from the full heal you only get by defeating a player.
Overheat When Blazing ends or is canceled early, you enter Overheat: for a while you can't transform again and your speed drops (about -30%); how long it lasts depends on how long Blazing was active.

F Body Flicker13.5 sec9 sec6.75 sec60

Cooldowns are the values currently recorded in English sources; builds, system bonuses or later balance changes may change what the game actually shows.

✅ Why so many people use Werewolf:
[Z] deals extremely high damage up close and homes in when held; all damage while transformed has 3% lifesteal; entering Blazing restores 30% health, and defeating a player in Blazing Form fully heals you. Note that NPCs, bosses and Sea Beasts don't count as players and won't trigger this full heal.

🆚 Werewolf vs Tiger Comparison

Aspect Werewolf Tiger
Feel/role Slightly lower speed, accuracy and hit range in exchange for stronger damage and sustain (more of a “heavy firepower” version). Leans more toward speed/agility, with nimble controls and comfortable chasing.
Z move Sprays wolf heads that home in when held; extremely high damage up close, but harder to land at range. Big fireball hitbox that's easier to land; more user-friendly overall.
Survivability About 30% damage reduction + 3% lifesteal while transformed; entering Blazing restores 30% health; defeating a player in Blazing fully heals you. About 20% damage reduction while transformed, lower than Werewolf; its strengths are speed, chasing and easier-to-land skills.
Learning curve Needs higher Mastery, and its skills have noticeable knockback; leveling in the early seas may be a bit slower. Relatively better suited to everyday mob farming and leveling, with a smoother rhythm.

🎯 Practical Tips (Beginner-Friendly)

  • Get close before using Z: [Z] does the most damage up close and is hard to land at range; close the gap with [X] or [C] first, then follow with [Z].
  • PvP opener: [X] breaking Instinct + dragging is very useful; follow with [C] (use the empowered version once the Fire Meter is at 75%) for more room for error.
  • Blazing timing: enter Blazing once the Fire Meter hits 100% and you can usually take over the fight's tempo; but don't cancel early, so you avoid the Overheat downtime.
  • Don't treat transforming as invincibility: neither the first-stage V transformation nor holding C has i-frames; forcing them in the middle of a crowded fight can still get you interrupted or focused down.
  • Blazing F as a lifesaver: once Blazing Form's F hits an enemy, you have i-frames during the move's animation; if it misses or after the move ends, you can still be punished.
  • Not great for traveling over water:Werewolf has no ice platforms or water-running ability, and its dash over water is short; for Sea Events, it's best to bring a boat or a teammate who can stand on water.
  • Leveling note: the Wiki also mentions that Werewolf needs higher Mastery and has stronger knockback, so farming mobs early in the First/Second Sea may not feel great; it's best to unlock the core skills before using it to farm.
  • Switch back to Tiger: if Werewolf's knockback feels too strong for farming or it just doesn't feel smooth, follow the Wardrobe steps above to switch back to Tiger for smoother leveling.

⚖️ Recent Key Balance Changes

Confirmed in Balance Patch 001:

  • All damage in Werewolf's transformation and Blazing Form has 3% lifesteal.
  • Werewolf transformation: Z's final hit damage +30%, hitbox +5%; X wind-up 20% shorter, hitbox +10%; tapped C travel speed +20%, hitbox +10%, and held C cast time cut to 0.75 seconds with hitbox +10%.
  • Werewolf transformation F can now be dodged with Instinct; cooldown 15% shorter and travel speed +10%.

❓ FAQ

Q:狼人(Werewolf)是老虎(Tiger)的皮膚嗎?
A:不是。
A:不用。
