Spike

Natural 🌵 Spike Combo A reworked Common fruit whose skills are now more fun and useful.
📝 Overview:
Spike is a Common fruit built around control with ground spikes, a close-range whirlwind and a spiky ball.
All four skills can hit multiple targets and break Instinct, and their Mastery requirements are low, so it suits the early First Sea; but it lacks reliable flight or long-distance movement, so it gradually falls off in PvP and mid-to-late-game leveling.

📍 1. How to Get & Role

This is a Common fruit and very easy to get.

  • Shop price: $180,000 Beli / 380 Robux.
  • Obtainment: buy it from the Blox Fruit Dealer, roll it from the Blox Fruit Gacha, or pick it up when it spawns on the map.
  • Role:
    • First Sea leveling (B): low Mastery and decent range; Z, X and V can handle groups of mobs.
    • Control (B): X stuns continuously, and C drags any enemy it touches along as it rolls.
    • PvP (C): lacks long-range mobility and reliable combos, so it's easily replaced by more complete fruits in the mid-to-late game.

💥 2. Skills

In the current kit, X is the spiky whirlwind and C is the spiky ball; when building a combo, open with a control skill first to make both moves land more often.

Key Skill name Mastery Cooldown / Energy Instinct interaction & use
Z Spike Summon 1 6 sec / 20 Summons ground spikes at your cursor that launch enemies. Hold for about 1 seconds to create up to 6 spikes; it can break Instinct, but targets at the edge may still dodge.
X Whirlwind 25 10.5 sec / 35 Spins your arms and slowly rises into the air, dealing continuous damage and stun. A tap lasts about 1.5 seconds, and you can hold for up to 3 seconds; targets caught in it have their Instinct broken, but those on the outer edge may still dodge.
C Spiky Ball 50 13.5 sec / 50 Turns into a spiky ball and rolls toward your cursor for about 3 seconds, stunning and dragging any target it touches; a hit always breaks Instinct, but you can't cancel it once it starts.
V Spike Barrage 75 12 sec / 40 Creates increasingly larger spikes in the direction you're facing; a tap makes 4, and holding for about 3 seconds makes up to 7. It can break Instinct, but targets at the edge of the area may still dodge.
⚠️ Awakening note:
Spike currently has no Awakening. Even though it got stronger after the rework, in the mid-to-late game you can still swap to an Elemental leveling fruit or a higher-tier fruit as needed.

🎮 3. Combat Tips

  • Proper combo order: open by launching with Z or laying spikes with V, then hold X for a sustained stun, and finish with the C spiky ball to drag the target.
  • Charge when the situation allows: Z fully charges in just about 1 seconds, while V takes about 3 seconds; in PvP, don't hold V without first landing some control.
  • Limited mobility: C can roll while carrying a target, but it only lasts about 3 seconds and can't replace true flight or fast travel skills.
  • Stepping-stone pick: usable in the early First Sea; once you get Smoke, Light or Ice, leveling becomes more consistent.

❓ 4. FAQ

Is Spike good for leveling in the First Sea?

Early on, yes. All four moves have low Mastery requirements and AoE, but there's no Elemental immunity; it usually gets more consistent once you have Smoke, Flame or Light.

Can every move break Instinct?

Yes, but targets at the edge of Z, X and V can still dodge; C breaks Instinct outright on hit.

Can C be used as a travel skill?

Only for short-distance ground movement. It isn't fast, has a 13.5-second cooldown and can't be canceled once started, so it's not suited for long trips.

Does Spike have an Awakening?

There's currently no Raid Awakening, so you don't need to save Fragments; it's mainly an early First Sea stepping stone and a fun pick.
